Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

An employee will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties requested by the VP of Human Resources.

  • Manage all payroll operations related to employee compensation and benefits. This includes processing of bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, researching discrepancies, and identifying and resolving payroll-related issues.
  • Calculates and processes manual checks, bonuses, or special check requests as needed.
  • Performs bi-weekly/monthly payroll close duties, including the preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and reporting of allocations for budgetary purposes.
  • Handles new property setup and management of information for a smooth transition for operations and employees.
  • Perform monthly audits of insurance invoices to maintain employee deductions.
  • Support annual Budgeting, 401k audit, Workers Comp audit and other compliance/audits as required.
  • Report generation and maintenance of: Compensation Analysis, Salary Ranges, Organizational Charts, Turnover Analysis, Retention, and other reports as requested.
  • Presents metrics, benchmarks, and leverages other analytical tools in order to support continuous improvement of operations and management of the business.
  • Communicates with Field Employees, HR, and Accounting to ensure completion of projects.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience managing payroll with a PEO or payroll provider is a plus. Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLookups. Comprehensive knowledge of payroll internal controls and payroll accounting. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines on a regular basis.
